Massimo Mangialavori

Bio

I was born in the city of Naples on 30 November 1958, but to my regret I only ever lived there for a few years, when I was studying medicine at the University. I grew up first in Milan, and then from 1966 in Modena, where I have lived and worked ever since.

I qualified as a doctor in 1984, and then I specialised in Food Sciences at the University of Modena, under Professor Nino Battistini, gaining my diploma in 1987. My thesis was on the effects of fasting in human beings.

I had studied medical anthropology from the beginning of my university career, and out of this grew an interest in traditional forms of medicine. This in turn led me to dedicate myself entirely to Classical Homeopathy, which I have been practising since 1985. I attended some courses in Homeopathy in Italy, and various seminars throughout Europe, but remained rather dissatisfied. Only on meeting Dr. Giovanni Marotta of Roma, and the years of study and reflection that we spent together, allowed me to continue my work with enthusiasm, encouraging me to develop a personal methodology of the study and application of homeopathy. For the past few years I have been sharing this with various groups of colleagues, both in Italy and abroad
